Yes! Generally, placing the light in the center of the frame reduces the risk of breaking the light.
If you want a lantern-style 360-degree work light, then the LEDs don’t have to be in the center, but the frame has to be very durable.

What are some leg/base designs?
In terms of legs, there could be tripods, legs, and handles that double as legs.

They are also very stable.
General legs could be plastic or metal, and they can be thick or thin.
However, thin foldable legs are not sturdy and stable enough for more heavy-duty working environments.
Thick non-foldable legs are more sturdy, but also slightly more difficult to stored.
The legs could also let the body of the light swing into any angle necessary.
These are usually plastic with some rubber, and they are thick.
Then, there also also handles that double as legs.

However, flipping the light to change the handle into a leg could be fiddly.
For bases, they are free-standing and can either have a landing or not.

If they are for a hands-on individual that wires homes or fixes cars, then the beam angle should be narrow to provide very focused and concentrated light.
Typically, the angle of such beams would be 4 to 19 degrees.
This is called a spotlight.
If your clientele consists of groups of workers and the light will be used for general lighting such as on road work or construction sites, then the beam angle should be wide – anywhere from 36 to 120 degrees.
This is called a floodlight.
You could request a 360-degree light, but these aren’t used as work lights since work lights need to be directional and bright.
